IT'S OFFICIAL! Allison signs with Jive Records/19 Recordings June 9th 2009
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly it was announced that 19 Recordings has signed a contract with Allison Iraheta. Her debut album, licensed to Jive is anticipated for a fall release.
From EW- "The 17-year-old singer sounds like she's barely processing the news herself: “I think I’m still in shock that this is happening -- getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true!” Allison said in a statement released to EW by 19 Recordings." Daughtry Producer Howard Benson has stated to MTV that he wants to work with Allison. In a round about way of confirming it, by saying he wants to work with Allison, Howard Benson has kind of made it official that Allison is going to get a recording contract! Now we just have to find out with whom and how soon. Season Eight of American Idol Ends May 21,2009 Alex May 20, 2009 the season finale of American Idol aired on Fox. It was Allison Iraheta's last appearance of the season on the show, but just the beginning of a promising career as a singer and musician. She sang several songs during the finale. It was bittersweet to see her again and listen to her sing, knowing it was the last time on the show for this season. We can look forward to seeing her on the American Idol tour this summer, and hopefully we will get some great news on a recording contract. |

Allison Needs her Fans Now More than Ever! May 12, 2008 Alex Abri Allison is no longer in the competition on American Idol but she still needs her fans. In the coming months, as she signs a contract for her own album and starts recording, we can't let the momentum die that started on American Idol. There are many ways that her fans can help but the simplest is to just keep talking about her, keep spreading the word by introducing her songs to people you think might enjoy her. Buy her music or encourage others to -- this is the simplest way to let the record companies know she is loved and has potential. When she does release music there will be songs to request on the radio, polls to visit and just plain commenting on news or articles about her. She needs her fans to stand by her and not stop talking just because she's no longer in the competition. |

Allison Iraheta's Journey ends On American Idol Wednesday May 6th 2009 By Alex Abri The American Idol top four results show marked one of the saddest days in the history of this show for me as it turned out to be Allison Iraheta's last time on the show in the competition. She sang an awesome version of Cry Baby for her final goodbye with tears in her eyes. Ironically she left on rock week which should have been her best week. Daughtry, who debuted the first song of his second album tonight, also left in the forth place on Season 5 of American Idol and has since then went on to break records, win Grammy's and sell millions of records world wide. Like Daughtry this is only the beginning for Allison. Her talent can not be denied. |
The Top Four Performance Show: Allison Iraheta Rocks! Tuesday May 5, 2009 By Alex Abri Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert led the pack this night with their rocking duet, Slow Ride on the Rock theme night of American Idol. Allison showed some sauce tonight when she spoke back to Simon Cowell defending her choice of songs and she did it with style. She is one of the youngest contestants to ever be on the show. At just sixteen she is competing against singers as old as 30 that have had a lot more time to practice and gain practical experience.
